i’m lindsay, it’s lovely to meet you!
From wherever the universe sent you- welcome! I am happy to have you here and introduce myself. I’m Lindsay, the curator of WOMB+WISDOM Birth Services founded in 2023.
Birth work and serving women in this space is what I believe I was destined to do during this season of my life. I’ve felt a strong calling to be connected to the power of the feminine from a young age… from Maiden, to Mother, and Crones alike. I have always set out To know the gentle heart, wild spirit, and wisdom of a woman and her intuition. When in connection this way i am the observer, listening to her and holding space for her knowledge. i recognized this pattern within myself and the desire to connect with more women in this way several years ago- while learning how to lean in and deepen my own higher alignment. i enjoy learning from the women i support, every woman’s journey unique and providing a lesson.
My initial call to work with women in an intimate + emotional way collided abruptly in 2020 with my eagerness to feel empowered in my own physical body and biological design which sparked something from within. in my adolescence I was curious and adventurous. Always asking the extra questions in school and seeking further truth of the choices i was being forced to make and things i was being taught as truth- not taking no for an answer… where there is a wheel there is a way, I’d always say.
However, it was in my mid-20s I recognized a lack of empowerment within myself and amongst women surrounding me when it came to choices we were being forced to make related to our reproductive health in the medical model of care- our birth rites being trampled by lack of information and education- and that was my wake up call to take action.
My belief is that if we can birth in autonomy and support the mothers of the world, we will see a societal shift. it starts with the power of birth.
I have walked many paths leading me to step into my role as a birth worker including my own lifestyle adjustments, transitioning to a holistic approach to my health and learning about my cycle, battling obstetrics linear approach to reproductive health, my choice to consciously conceive, and now motherhood.
since making the conscious choice to start implementing holistic routines into my daily life i have seen dramatic shifts. i chose to first study herbalism and took courses to further know and utilize plant medicine in my own home only to find out more recently how ancestral and intertwined birth work and earth work are.
My support and approach will come from a place of being grounded and connected to your deeper emotional self- building and/or regaining trust and confidence within, listening to your body, trusting your gut, and connecting to the world around you. During pregnancy you are stepping into a new opportunity to Lean into new traditions and routines, connect to your breath, and slow life down a touch when possible, so you can be in tune with your body + your baby.
How exciting!?
and What an honor to have you here. Sending you much love and many blessings on your journey and wherever you are being guided next!
Now, outside of birth work- who is lindsay? life for me consists of time with my husband, stepping into motherhood with my first child and being fully immersed in this new iteration of myself, loving on our fur babies (2 dogs, 1 cat), spending time with family and dear friends, being in community with amazing women and crafting in circle, and lots of time with my plants and in nature. i love supporting creators and shopping at the various local markets on the weekends. My favorite season is Spring! There is just something about slowly Seeing the Earth come back to life around us after her long Winters nap. Music and movement are big parts of my day to day life and bring my physical body much joy. I also love to cook and host people. The older I become the more I desire conscious conversation and relationship. we all have something special to offer one another as we grow and evolve.
i look forward to learning and growing with you.
Be Well,
Lindsay
